Membership ApplicatioN

We’re grateful for your interest in becoming a member of Faith Assembly. Church membership is more than joining an organization. It is becoming part of a church family where we worship together, grow together, serve together, and walk with Jesus together.

Membership is also an opportunity to participate in the life and future of Faith Assembly. Members help shape the direction of the church through prayer, service, leadership, and participation in important church decisions. Because of this, we believe it is important that members share a common commitment to our Biblical beliefs, values, and mission.

You are eligible to apply for membership if:

  • you are at least 18 years old.

  • you have been regularly attending Faith Assembly for at least three months.

  • you agree to the expectations and statements of faith.

EXPECTATIONS OF MEMBERS

We believe that following Jesus is a lifelong journey of growing in faith and becoming more like Him. Those seeking membership at Faith Assembly should have a clear testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ and being born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:5-16). We also believe in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of believers, and we ask that those seeking membership have been filled with the Holy Spirit or are earnestly seeking that experience (Acts 2:1-5).

We also encourage believers to follow Christ’s command to be baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

Being part of the Faith Assembly family means pursuing a life that reflects Christ. As we grow in Him, we seek to leave behind sinful and worldly patterns of living (2 Corinthians 6:14-17; Romans 6:4). Spiritual growth happens as we spend time in prayer, study God’s Word, share our faith with others, faithfully gather with the church, and support the ministry through our tithes and offerings.

APPLICANT SHOULD AGREE WITH FAITH ASSEMBLY’S STATEMENTS OF FAITH

  • We believe the Bible is inspired of God.

  • We believe there is one true God and Jesus Christ is fully God.

  • We believe in the fall and salvation of mankind.

  • We believe in the ordinances of the church (baptism in water and holy communion).

  • We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with speaking in other tongues.

  • We believe in the church and its mission, the ministry, and divine healing.

  • We believe in the rapture of believers, the millennial reign of Christ, the final judgment, and the new Heavens and the new Earth.

APPLICATION PROCESS

If, after prayerful consideration, you feel Faith Assembly is the church family God is calling you to be part of, please complete this Membership Application Form. The Pastor and Board will review and vote on membership applications at the monthly Board meeting. You will be notified of their decision.
